THE CAMP SITES THAT ALL HIKERS WANT TO VISIT

Camping and hiking is a very popular hobby amongst the nation. Many hikers have become very committed to pursuing these activities in the recent years. Several camp sites listed below have caught hiker’s eyes in the last few years.

Hardin Ridge Recreation Area Campground located in Bloomington Indiana is a very popular camp site that attracts hikers from across the world. Hikers want to visit this campground because it offers various activities such as camping, pick nicking, boating, swimming, nature trails, and other outdoor programs. Hardin Ridge offers six campground loops that have over 200 sites. 37 of the sites are without electric hookups.

Yosemite National Park Campground is another popular camp site for hikers. The site is located in Mariposa, California. This camp site is a place that hikers want to visit because of the various hiking trails that reach high levels. The site also features hikes to waterfalls in the Yosemite Valley. Other features include open air tours that go around the Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove.

Franklin Lake Campground located in Eagle River, Wisconsin is another popular camp site for hikers to visit. This camp site is filled with features such as historical log and stone structures with various campsites mixed with tall pines. The campground is on the National Registers of Historic Places. The campsite has an interpretive center and naturalist program. The campsite also contains a one mile trail which passes multiple lakes. Other trails include the Hidden Lakes Trail connecting to Luna White Deer Campground, as well as a six mile trail to the Anvil Lake Campground.

Newaygo State Park Campground located in Newaygo, Michigan is a state park that attracts many hikers because of its 99 site rustic campground. The campground also features a 20 foot embankments that overlook the Hardy Dam Pond which is a six mile flooding of the Muskegon River.
