THE BEST SITE – WHERE YOU WANT TO CAMP
Each camper will have his or her own opinion about the best camping site. However, there are some basic necessities of any great campsite that all will agree on. When sleeping in a tent you want to find good terrain with great views. You should also pick a site away from smelly outhouses, loud group sites, and potential death hazards.
Growing up, I went camping with my family and friends. Some campsites we picked were great. Other sites were terrible and made for long nights. I can remember camping with some friends. The whole night one friend complained about how she was sleeping in “rock valley.” A good campsite will definitely have a large rock-free space, so you aren’t sleeping on them, getting cramps and kinks in your back and neck. Another time, I was with my family, camping by a roaring river. The entire night, my mom worried that one of us, her children, were going to be swept away in the river. When picking your campsite, you want to be far enough away from rivers and highways that you don’t lose sleep worrying all night.
When you go camping, find a good site, so you can rest soundly.
