Almost Heaven, West Virginia What comes to mind when you hear about the Potomac River? Washington D.C.? Our nation’s capitol? Although the Potomac River has is humble beginnings in Pennsylvania, by the time it gets to West Virginia, it has become a very scenic one; a place for viewing an abundance of wild life. Both Golden and Balled eagles can be seen fishing the river in Springfield WV. Turkeys, white tail deer, and colorful song birds inhabit this bucolic river valley. The valley itself is very hilly, filled with steep sided ravines and curvy roads.
Romney West Virginia is a richly historic town, with many American Civil War sites to visit. It is a very friendly small town, with lovely main street.
